Tara Chowaniec is a licensed social worker with over 20 years of experience. She has worked with adults from all generations in a variety of healthcare settings and in the nonprofit sector.
At the core of Tara’s practice is forming a strong therapeutic alliance with clients. From there she draws from a variety of therapy modalities for an eclectic, curated approach. Clients should feel as though therapy is uniquely tailored to them and their experiences. Techniques and theories utilized include psychodynamic, internal family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, somatic therapy, and creative-based techniques.
Her work with clients has included chronic pain/illness, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, gender identity and sexuality, self-image, relationships, and life transitions. Tara’s goal is to help clients gain deeper insight, find balance, and restore peace in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
