
LaKeisha Bryant is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over eight years of experience
working with children, adolescents and adults. She has served in a wide range of providing services roles including community mental health provider, intake counselor in hospital settings, and as a behavioral health therapist in an inpatient hospital setting.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, LaKeisha has counseled the following individuals; substance abuse individuals, victims of rape, intellectuals with developmental disabilities, children and adolescents with mental illnesses, trauma, and behavioral problems. LaKeisha have also administered various tests, conducted individual/group therapy, developed intervention strategies, initiated treatment plans, and completed intake/admissions.
LaKeisha views counseling as an uplifting process. Being able to work with individuals to address matters that affect their daily living is an important factor. Building a good rapport, establishing boundaries, and adhering to the code of ethics are vital aspects of counseling. Also including the client in the treatment process and encouraging autonomy when dealing with adolescents and young adults is very important.
LaKeisha also has worked with clients with adult life adjustments such as parenting, relationship issues, divorce, grief, and loss. Past clients include those with issues such as ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bullying, and oppositional and defiant behaviors. She has
worked with a wide variety of cultural and religious backgrounds, as well as various generational
perspectives.
