DAWNN REALE
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I incorporate multiple client-centered approaches within the constructs of session. I pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Self- Compassion and Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice at Sul Ross State University, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas San Antonio, and I am a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran. My social work experience includes individual mental health counseling, group therapy, case management services, and utilization review.
My clinical work over the years is cultivated from my passion of working with multiple age groups, ethnicities, and socioeconomic class. Psychotherapy is a process. For this process, to work in the client’s benefit the therapeutic relationship is a collaboration between the client and the clinician. I strongly hold belief of being authentic and providing a space of respect and dignity for all my clients. In this world, every person is a unique blessing, and we all can learn something from each other.
