Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Elizabeth (Libby) Masek is a Licensed, Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with 18 years of experience. She was a social worker at the Bachelor’s level, specializing in work with adults throughout her career. She is a dementia specialist, working with members of “the sandwich generation”: adults who are caring for, or faced with issues of their aging parents, while they take care of their own, typically school-aged, or young adult children.
She has served in many roles throughout the healthcare continuum, including, homecare, short-term rehab, long-term nursing facilities, acute care (hospitals), and
outpatient/private practice. Libby has dual Master’s degrees in Social Work and Business Administration (MBA), and is a small business owner in addition to her work with OVC, which is why she is uniquely positioned to work with business owners, struggling for one reason or another.
Libby incorporates reframing and reprogramming your brain to align with your true desires through a combination of mindfulness training, visualizations, shadow and inner child, archetype work, and strategic problem-solving. She believes in simple, meaningful homework so her clients practice incorporating positive change outside of therapy. She tailors therapeutic treatments to the unique needs of each client and
works with individual adults (18+), and couples.
Working with Libby mitigates stress and facilitates adjustment/coping in the following areas: Grief (in its many forms), Relationship issues and divorce, Vocational concerns, Gender Identity affirmation, Midlife, Retirement, Aging, Illness, and more. Past clients include those with issues such as ADHD, ASD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and adverse childhood experiences. She has worked with a wide variety ofcultural and religious backgrounds, as well as various generational perspectives.
